[semiOT] It is time to RyZen
Finalmente AMD è tornata a combattere.

Nuovo PC in costruzione:
Memorie - Check
Ryzen CPU - Check
Scheda madre....still missing...

System up and running.

Re: [semiOT] It is time to RyZen
http://hexus.net/tech/news/cpu/86585-le ... eaves-amd/
Ho portato il 1800X a 3.9Ghz, le memorie a 2600Mhz CL16 (più di cosi si piantano, in attesa dell'update all'AGESA 1.0.0.4 e 5) e le mie sim lavorative impiegano 1/3 del tempo dell'8350.

Re: [semiOT] It is time to RyZen
Dopo Ryzen, Threadripper.
https://videocardz.com/71591/rumor-amd- ... for-mining

Re: [semiOT] It is time to RyZen
Link alle recensioni di threadripper 1920x e 1950x.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/6 ... 0x_review/

"'Kernel memory leaking' Intel processor design flaw forces Linux, Windows redesign"
https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/01/0 ... sign_flaw/"
A fundamental design flaw in Intel's processor chips has forced a significant redesign of the Linux and Windows kernels to defang the chip-level security bug."
"The effects are still being benchmarked, however we're looking at a ballpark figure of five to 30 per cent slow down, depending on the task and the processor model."

Date Wed, 3 Jan 2018 15:51:35 -0800
https://lkml.org/lkml/2018/1/3/797
I think somebody inside of Intel needs to really take a long hard look
at their CPU's, and actually admit that they have issues instead of
writing PR blurbs that say that everything works as designed.
.. and that really means that all these mitigation patches should be
written with "not all CPU's are crap" in mind.
Or is Intel basically saying "we are committed to selling you shit
forever and ever, and never fixing anything"?
